THICKER THAN WATER, a second novel by Thrity Umrigar, which tells the story of Sera, an upper-middleclass Parsi housewife and Bhima, the woman who works in her home as a domestic servant, was bought at auction in a good deal by Wm Morrow Executive Editor Claire Wachtel from agent Marly Rusoff, with simultaneous publications scheduled in UK by The Fourth Estate and by Harper India, and with translation rights, except German, to be sold by Brenda Segel of Harper Collins.
