Catherine Seltzer is the author, most recently, of Understanding Pat Conroy, a scholarly consideration of Conroy’s work, and of the forthcoming biography of Conroy, Man on Fire. She teaches American literature and women’s studies courses at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and lives in St. Louis, MO.
